Nailing the First 90.
I developed a service at the end of 2019 to help leaders transition to new roles. Then I created a presentation and set a goal to give it 4 times in 2020. I'm not drawn to presenting, but realized it was an opportunity that would help me grow and help others while expanding my network.
The topic had been knocking around in my mind for over three years. Navigating 90 was the name I came up with for the presentation initially, but renamed it Successful Transitions: Your Guide to the First 90 Days in a New Role. I created a 40-minute signature talk and a 2-hour course based on the materials from my Executive Onboarding & Acceleration service.
I’ve loved preparing and sharing the Successful Transitions course — online, of course — and the relevancy in today’s time was unforeseen. Thanks to Enterprise University, International Association of Business Communicators Kansas City, Central Exchange, and Association of Business Women of America Kansas City for the opportunity to share a few thoughts. I am deeply grateful to Jessica, Jake, Gabrielle, Adam, Mona, and Debbie for providing the opportunities.
