Nope.

Don't do it.

There's a project on your to-do list with specific times blocked in your schedule. It keeps getting forwarded to the next day, and the next, and the next...

Seriously? Yes, seriously. You've looked at the computer screen and paper and read lots and lots and lots trying to get inspired. And it's not working.

The project is important and it needs you and you want to do it.
You're excited about it! So, what's happening?

What do you do?

1) Give up. Really? Come on.
2) Do it halfway call it good enough. For some things, this IS the right route, but not for this one.
3) Take a pause.

After a week of being annoyed that I wasn't getting stuff done on this, I chose #3. Last night I decided NOT to put this work on my to-do list for today or the rest of the week.

I felt a weight lifted. It almost put a skip in my step (not really...okay it kinda did :)). It feels great knowing that my focus today can be all in on my other work without the nagging "you really need to get started on that" hanging around.

We say that the first step is the hardest we need to just MOVE. Easier said than done. Sometimes you get stuck.

When you're struggling on a project, what do you do? Any advice?
