I wonder.

I wonder.

I'm reading through my notes on a project to help me remember where I left off so I can jump back into it.

Straightforward.

This project is head down and sleeves up and incredibly detailed. My "progress not perfection" mantra doesn't work for this one.

I noticed in my hand-written notes that I accidentally wrote "mission" instead of "missing" on an open task.

First, it made me laugh at myself. I was doing a project that needed me to be completely focused. And I was so "focused" that I committed a hand-written typo? Is that even a thing!? Oh dear :)

Then I began to wonder. And my mind wandered from the project...again.

Mission and Missing. Where's the intersection? Here's one I've seen.

Sometimes when we feel like something's missing it's because we haven't articulated, fully embraced, and/or been living into our life's mission.

Take my friend Gary Wilkin's advice and "think about this on paper" -- journal about it

And if you are or know someone transitioning to retirement that wants to live life in retirement on purpose instead of on passive -- Gary's a terrific resource for you. There's a link to one of his recent posts in the comments.

Is your mission missing or is it time to re-imagine it?
